Lord Ganesha the  God of knowledge and the remover of obstacles is also the older son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi  ( Universal parents). Lord Ganesha is also called Vinayak ( knowledgeable ) or Vighneshwer (god to remove obstacles).
